Dating app built around shared interests
Structured onboarding, profile curation and matching driven by what people tell the app, not by an algorithm they don't trust.
Swipe-based dating feels random and tiring, and people don't trust algorithms they can't see. The concept had to feel purposeful and safe without a heavy onboarding.
With two teammates I shaped the idea and user journey, researched dating behaviour and onboarding, and designed matching driven by what people tell the app (hobbies, values, daily preferences), plus the visual identity and a full prototype.
92% of test users finished onboarding without drop-off, satisfaction reached 8.8/10 and NPS +28; people noted the clarity and calm tone.
